During
the remodeling of the Clover Club, there was an outdoor deck
that was not being used. The plan was to enclose the deck, adding another
1,100 sq. feet, and put in pool tables, a juke box and video games. It was
already located near one of the bars. The idea was to have a gathering room
that would have different music than the deejay and entertainment for the
customers.

Clover Club owner Stuart Brugh noticed cups supplied by the Jim Beam Representative, Jay Davis. They were a "Jim Beam Back Room" promotion that Jim Beam had used nationally. Stuart met with Jay to see if he could supply enough promotional items to actually make the newly enclosed deck into a Jim Beam Back Room for the Clover Club. After a little planning, lots of phone work, Stuart acquired Pool Table Felts, Table Lights, Cue Sticks, Cue Stick Holders, Neons, and Banners, all from Jay and Jim Beam. The New Jim Beam Back Room is a fun addition to the Clover Club. Every item in the room is tied in with Jim Beam. The Juke Box has a lot of Skynard to play. The video games are all nostalgic machines. The Amusement supplier had to blow the dust off the machines and do a few repairs. They include Centipede, Frogger, Galaga, Donkey Kong and Ms. Pac Man. You just don't see any of the machines anywhere and our customers love them. They are still only 25¢ per play. Thanks go out to Jim Beam and Future Brands, Jay Davis (Jim Beam State Manager, West Virginia), Frank Maniaci (Vice President, Central Control States Division) Joe Abegg (Brand Manager, Jim Beam & Jim Beam Black) for the success of the Jim Beam Back Room. Thanks also to Jim Hewin of Absolute Web Design for the photos and coverage of the new room.
